“I have been with Primal Strength since 2022.

My experience with Primal Strength has been one filled with support and no judgement whatsoever. Luke looks to push you to reach any and all goals you wish to achieve, that being weight loss, muscle building and so on. He spends extensive time ensuring you understand your schedule and each excercise, getting back to you if you have any questions. He continued to tailor my program around my personal issues which supported and encouraged me to continue my journey! I would not be where I am today without Lukes training.

Fat loss and strength

I have trained with Luke Smith off and on over several years since 2015, and officially trained with his Primal Strength methodologies since 2020.


In between training with Luke I had tried numerous different strength and fat loss programs and none of them delivered results comparable to Luke’s Primal Strength methodologies. Cookie cutter programs I found online always lead to a plateau. 531 variants, while they didn’t cause my progress to stall, the progress I did make was glacially slow and the workouts were incredibly boring. Although I was skeptical of the results I would get when Luke gave me my first Primal Strength program, the results were incredible. I’ve hit countless PRs on my lifts that were previously stalled for months. Luke knows exactly when you should let off the gas and when to floor it. My workouts were also way more efficient, spending 90 minutes at most in the gym instead of hours. In addition to the programming, he’s also helped me tremendously with perfecting my technique to lift more efficiently and has also helped me stay motivated towards my goals when life has beaten me down.

In a fat loss phase, Luke helped me lose 29lbs and get down to 10.2% bodyfat (DEXA) while maintaining all of my strength. In a strength building phase, I squatted over double my bodyweight (320lbs at 158lbs).

No matter what your goal is, I would highly recommend letting Luke help you get there. If you’re exhausted with spinning your wheels and making no meaningful progress, hit up Luke. He’s hands down an expert when it comes to programming and periodization but he also really cares about you and your goals. On a call he once told me that he was thinking about my squat technique when he couldn’t sleep one night. Good luck finding a coach anywhere else that cares that much.
